On March 23, the grandeur of luxury hospitality celebrated a new milestone with the unveiling of Palazzo Versace Macau.

Donatella Versace, the Chief Creative Officer Versace, graciously welcomed the elite of society to a night that beautifully blended the opulence of Versace with the rich tapestry of Macau’s heritage.

The night’s festivities commenced under the watchful gaze of a majestic dragon installation, symbolising not only the auspicious Year of the Dragon but also heralding the fusion of Versace’s flamboyant design ethos with Macau’s vibrant culture.

“I’m delighted to celebrate the opening of this truly beautiful Palazzo Versace here in Macau… It’s wonderful to bring together so many friends for such a special event to mark the opening,” Donatella Versace expressed her joy at the Grand Opening.

“I know that Palazzo Versace will continue this warm welcome for every guest who comes to visit, for many years to come.”

The evening was further illuminated by the soul-stirring melodies of John Legend, whose performance added an unforgettable layer to the celebration.

Daisy Ho, the Managing Director of SJM Resorts, S.A., shared her vision of transforming Macau into a beacon of ultra-luxury hospitality, a vision now materialised with the Palazzo Versace Macau standing proudly within the Grand Lisboa Palace.

“Our resort features a modern east-meets-west flair, which is consistently woven throughout the property—a theme that Versace has interpreted with unparalleled finesse,” she remarked, foreseeing a new chapter in Macau’s legacy as a World Centre of Tourism and Leisure.

“The Grand Lisboa Palace now stands out as home to the only couture-focused designer hotels in Macau, positioning our city as one of the few destinations worldwide offering such ultra-luxe branded hospitality experiences.”

“I’m thrilled that our efforts are contributing to a new dimension in Macau’s status as a World Centre of Tourism and Leisure, attracting a broader spectrum of discerning travellers from across the globe,” said Ho.

The Grand Opening was a symphony of precious moments. The enchanting melodies of Yu Dan and the Macau Orchestra at the Jardim Secreto were nothing short of magical, while the Versace Signatures exhibition at The Grand Pavilion was a breathtaking display of artistry.

This exhibition peeled back the layers of Versace’s design philosophy, showcasing iconic Atelier Versace and ready-to-wear designs that resonate with the brand’s heart and soul.

As the evening unfolded, guests were treated to a banquet that was a culinary ode to Chinese cuisine, punctuated by the rhythmic beats of a drum performance by Macau’s young talents.

The surprise musical rendition by John Legend was the crescendo of the night, leaving an indelible mark on the hearts of the distinguished guests.

Among the luminaries gracing the event were Daisy Ho, Timothy Fok, Angela Leong, and Eric Fok from SJM Resorts, S.A., alongside Versace Global Ambassador Rosy Zhao.

The night also saw an assembly of notable figures including Pansy Ho, Florinda Ho, Arnaldo Ho, Laurinda Ho, Orlando Ho, Mario Ho & Ming Xi, Alice Ho, Beatrice Ho, Gillian Ho, Candy Chuang, Ronald and Reggie Kwok, Elly Lam, and Gigi Chao.
